On the 200th anniversary of its foundation, the Luisengymnasium organised a commemoration event to remember 20 former schoolgirls who were murdered by the National Socialists. Pupils of the Luisengymnasium told the life stories of the 20 murdered Jewish schoolgirls in a reading.

At the commemoration ceremony spoke Gesa Hollauf, head of the Luisengymnasium, Mayor Katrin Habenschaden, and Dr. h.c. Charlotte Knobloch, President of the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria, as well as Florian Kraus, City School Councillor and Sports Officer of the City of Munich, Michael Felsen, nephew of Johanna Felsen, Dr. Svenja Jarchow-Pongratz from District Committee 3 – Maxvorstadt, and Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Brodman.

The event was accompanied musically by Akito Marschnik, cello and Selma Schroeter, saxophone.

Afterwards, in the presence of all, the Memorial Signs were placed at the main entrance of the Luisengymnasium.
