Albertine and Salomon Neuland lived with their two sons, Fritz and Willy, in Bayreuth, where Simon Neuland ran a successful fashion business together with his brother. After the early death of her husband, Albertine moved to Munich to live with one of her sons, the lawyer Fritz Neuland, where she lovingly cared for her granddaughter Charlotte.
Albertine Neuland's son Willy was able to emigrate to the United States. Her son Fritz and granddaughter Charlotte survived the Nazi regime in hiding. Albertine Neuland, however, was deported by the Gestapo to the Theresienstadt ghetto, where she died in January 1944 as a result of the catastrophic conditions there.
